Statues-tatues-atues-tues-ues-es-s 2.

The next one is statues from Macau.
The island of Macau its sitatued near Hong Kong, but its ruled bu the Chinese, well at least one part...
I wanted to do studies from the face, its fascinating how all buddhist sculptures are so harmonic and i think this is all because the facial expressions.

In Hungary, there is a park known as the " statue park ", in this place there are a lot of statues that were in the streets in the communist Budapest.

I chose this statue because is full of energy and i think it pretty much says a lot of the time in that zone,,,

The first study is from a Botero statue. I always found Botero really interesting because of his view on the human form. While i was drawing this statue, I became really fascinated of how the proportions were " unnatural "compared to standard human anatomy in statues. I found incredible how Botero used " regular sized " models and then, change the proportions in the statues.... WOW that is awesome, because I think that it requires great knowledge on human anatomy in order to do that.

The next study its a statue from my city, Mexico City, its called " Angel de la Indepencia ", which translates " the Angel Of Independance ". ........ mmmm I have to practice a little bit more my portraits.
Quick PHACT: although its in Mexico and it was ordered by a mexican president, the statue was made by an Italian.....
